1. Your Data: What We Collect and Why
When you sign up, we collect details such as your name, email address, telephone number and the information needed to process your booking and payment. You may also choose to share your LinkedIn profile, career goals and reflections during the programme. We use this information to: Process and manage your registration. Give you access to sessions, resources and programme workspaces. Send programme updates and reminders. Support your participation and respond to questions. Meet applicable accounting and legal obligations. Our website and online platforms may also collect technical information, such as your IP address and device information, to help things run smoothly and securely. Payments are processed through Stripe. We do not store your full payment card details. Please share only information you are comfortable discussing and authorised to disclose. You do not need to provide confidential employer documents or sensitive personal information to participate.
2. Sharing Only Where Needed
We work with service providers to deliver the programme, including payment processors, online meeting platforms and programme workspaces such as Notion. We share only the information needed for their role. These providers have their own privacy policies. We remain responsible for how we handle your information and for meeting our obligations when using them. Other participants will see your name and anything you choose to share in sessions or shared workspaces. A shared workspace is not a private journal, so please consider what you put there. If we offer a WhatsApp group, joining is optional. Other members may be able to see your telephone number and profile information. We will not add you without your agreement. We do not sell your personal information or share private coaching discussions with your employer simply because they paid for your place. Information may be disclosed where required by law or necessary to address a serious safety concern or legal claim.
3. Keeping Your Information Safe
We take reasonable technical and organisational steps to protect your information and limit access to those who need it. Some platforms may store or process information outside the UAE. Where this happens, we use the safeguards required by applicable data protection law. We keep personal information only for as long as needed to deliver the programme, manage your booking and meet applicable legal obligations. Information that is no longer needed is deleted or anonymised.
4. Updates, Marketing and Cookies
We will send you the information needed for your programme, including booking confirmations, reminders and changes to sessions. Signing up does not automatically add you to a marketing list. Any promotional subscription will be separate, optional and subject to applicable law. You can unsubscribe from marketing at any time. Our website may use cookies needed for registration, security and basic functionality. Any optional analytics or advertising cookies will be explained separately, with consent requested where required.
5. Your Rights: It’s Your Data
Depending on the applicable law, you may request access to your information, ask us to correct or delete it, or request restrictions on how it is used. Where we rely on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting earlier lawful processing. Some information may need to be retained to meet legal obligations or deal with a claim. If that applies, we will explain it. We handle information in accordance with the data protection laws applicable to our business and services. Additional rights under other jurisdictions apply where their legal requirements are met. For questions or requests, contact hello@thedragonflymajlis.com.
